social democracies (like the nordic countries) are capitalist systems with really strong social safety nets.

listen to this entire video on what DEMOCRATIC socialism is: i emphasize "democratic" as this system works with capitalism not separate from it. unregulated capitalism is oppressive and making poverty & extreme wealth INCREASE, while the middle class is EVAPORATING. we need social democracy swirled in with our capitalism here in the USA to make it more ethical. any extreme system does not work. we need a mix to keep the BaLaNcE.
