condolances to all people close to him.... #rip Dane Osborn age 62...a person i knew from childhood on Whidbey Island when i first saw him play guitar on stage in Langley mesmerized by his talent and handsome charisma...two female friends of mine Abbie and Jessie Deleers sang in a band where he played guitar....they did "my boyfriends back" and "rollar skate" i was around 11 i think when i saw him on stage and was inspired but to shy to go on stage at that point....then years later i reconnected with Dane as an adult in 2011 and we got to know each other briefly in person and had long phone conversations. he had a great sense of humour and he gifted me the acoustic guitar in this photo and converted it into left handed for me when i expressed interest in learning to play guitar
sadly, he passed away due to alcohol addiction related seizure after going through rehab then drinking again they think...i am glad he no longer is suffering in a body addicted etc. he was a great lover of dogs and a talented musician/guitar player- i met his dog in 2011 and he told me a deep connection to a dog he had previously named Crickett and i remember the sweetness of him telling me this...i remember making him a silk screened shirt he wore after i gave it to him and i visited him at a small cabin he lived in on Whidbey Island in 2011. may he rest in peace and blessings to all his family and friends...i am grateful to have had some positive experiences with him. he had beauty in him despite his challenges with alcohol. peace to anyone who was close to him. i only knew him briefly but i will never forget the good moments we shared...
