nutrition for both pets and humans



one year of intermittent fasting and eating low carb, healthy fat and protein and very low sugar

july 5th, 2018 i started daily intermittent fasting- so today it's my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! i think 16:8 is very powerful! if people even just did 12:12 (or even just 3 meals a day, no snacks) they would improve their health i am betting! i feel so good eating in an 8 hour window- i think i will keep doing it forever! i have gotten leaner but i also mentally have gotten more stable and feel less depressed etc. i think it's great to fast in any form that works for you....some are afraid to fast worrying about Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) after being told they must eat every two hours to keep your blood sugar even- which is exactly the opposite of what happens. if you eat snacks all day every two hours your blood sugar tends to go up and down all day long- but if you eat a meal then fast and let your body rest from eating your blood sugar tends to even out and stabilize eventually.

i personally have normal blood sugar levels and have not had high or low sugar issues but i want to keep it that way. diabetes is skyrocketing and it takes up to 15 years of eating too often or too many carbs/sugars for your blood sugar to show up as too high. "pre-diabetes" happens behind the scenes when your body needs to secrete more and more insulin to digest foods and then it cannot keep up anymore after years of over eating carbs/sugars etc and just eating too often. i do not restrict calories or eat "light" i eat until full everyday- and yet i am burning off body fat! i eat very low sugar and low carb and i mostly eat protein and healthy fats and i do the time restricted eating which they say lowers the amount of insulin your body needs so you keep your body insulin sensitive so you can prevent diabetes from happening.

i am fascinated by the body and digestion etc. exercise also helps stabilize blood sugar and keeps you sensitive to your own natural insulin. i have been researching this intensely for a year now and many many MD doctors/nutritionists/dieticians and science research people online share stories of helping 100's of patients/clients and themselves improve and sometimes put into remission many "chronic" conditions with eating lower carbs/sugars and more healthy fats/proteins and eating in a window then resting from eating several hours a day. food also tastes amazing when i fast then eat a large meal.

my muscles also seem to be stronger as i am eating more protein and more healthy fats which seems to be changing my metabolism- burning fat and building or at least maintaining muscle as i age.  i am 50 right now!

this could help so many people suffering...and yes of course consult with your healthcare professional before radically changing your diet etc. but i would say be careful and make sure you can trust this person. a lot of "mainstream" nutrition advice is dead wrong and makes people more sick and in need of medications! so be careful who you listen to.  experiment and see what works and if something makes you worse change and do something that helps you heal and feel good.

diabetes in cats and dogs is also skyrocketing due to high carb pet foods...my cat is mildly diabetic and i switched him to raw meat diet (nutritionally balanced from health food pet store) and he is thriving and does not need insulin shots. he's been eating over two years like this and is doing well. i give him raw frozen meats and freeze dried meats on the side or in an automatic feeder when i need to go to work etc. and he's happy and healthy

rode in the pride parade seattle 2019-  "body pride ride" was our group.
 pride for every body because everybody is beautiful!  had a 13 hour
day-  rode in the parade, then hung with friends then went sailing with a
friend and his dog.

slept in until noon! felt so good.  have tons of photos to share from parade day- when i have time…my boyfriend and i are going to do a photo shoot sometime again when i paint my whole body in the most intricate way i can- he has a great lens and camera to shoot with…i want to get some new high resolution images of me to share online- will do some nearly nude in bodypaint and some with a bikini covering me so i can share the more “PG” ones everywhere and be careful where i share the nude-ish ones.  silly how much “nudity” is considered not “safe” to share but i will do whatever it takes to share freely! bikini saves the day! ha
